Steve Watson

Steven Watson is a Certified Public Accountant and finance executive with over a decade of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Campus Ink, a sports licensing and NIL apparel company, where he oversees financial planning and analysis, accounting operations, capital planning, and investor relations.

In his role at Campus Ink, Steve partners closely with the CEO and leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and strategic decision-making. His work focuses on building scalable finance processes, supporting licensing and partnership initiatives, and ensuring the company’s financial infrastructure keeps pace with growth.

Prior to joining Campus Ink, Steve spent eight years at RSM US LLP in the Financial Services Audit practice, progressing from intern to Manager. He led audit engagements for broker-dealers, hedge funds, futures commission merchants, and benefit plans, developing deep experience in GAAP reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance while managing and mentoring audit teams.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has been a licensed CPA in Illinois since 2017. He values peer collaboration and practical discussion around real-world finance and accounting challenges.
