Gregg Elstien, ARM, CIC

Senior Vice President
Alera Group

Gregg Elstien is considered one of the strongest advocates in the commercial insurance and risk management fields. He creates unique programs in the same manner an architect designs a building. His approach involves a proprietary analysis to uncover areas of need in order to develop a sustainable program that will reduce cost tied with evolving risk reduction.

Over 21 years in this industry, Gregg believes that to truly understand opportunities for improvement, you must take time to understand what makes a business distinctive. Furthermore, if the outcome of Alper’s analysis doesn’t provide significant value, they are not the right partner. Gregg works predominantly with Private Equity, Manufacturers and Nonprofit Organizations who are focused on constant improvement with a partner who understands how critical due diligence, cost containment, claim management and safety is to their operations.

Gregg has been a professional speaker in a multitude of topics for over 20 years. His speaking engagements include Illinois CPA Society, Rockford University, Axelson Center and the Nonprofit CFO Roundtable. Gregg is the Chair of the Advisory Board for Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center, a nonprofit that is the first responders to children who have been sexually abused and/or physically abused that works to heal both children and families as well as help prosecute the perpetrators. Gregg has recently been asked to be on the Advisory Board for Reclaim13, an organization that works with children who are most vulnerable to abuse and exploitation through prevention programs in schools. By bringing awareness to this issue, individuals and communities can rally around these youth, and bring healing though mentorship and shelter.
